Privacy Policy — Munki
Last updated: 11 August 2026
Munki is a learning app for children aged 2–8. This policy explains what the app does with information.
The short version: Munki collects no personal information about your child. Nothing your child does in the app leaves the device. The only thing sent anywhere is whether a subscription is active.
What we collect
Nothing.
Munki has no accounts, no sign-up and no login. It never asks for a name, an age, a photo, an email address or a phone number — not from a child and not from a parent.
What stays on the device
The app saves progress so a child can continue where they stopped:
- which games have been played and the best result in each,
- bananas earned and items bought for the Munki character,
- day streak and minutes played, shown in the parent area,
- whether the daily reminder is switched on.
All of it is written to the device only, using the operating system's own storage. None of it leaves the device, and we cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes all of it permanently.
Network and third parties
Munki contains:
- no analytics or tracking of any kind,
- no advertising and no ad networks,
- no social network buttons or sharing,
- no links that open a browser.
The app connects to the internet for one purpose only: to check and process subscriptions. That is handled by RevenueCat, a purchase service, which receives an anonymous purchase identifier generated on the device, the country of the store, and which subscription is active. It does not receive a name, an age, an email address, a contact list, a location, or anything a child does in the app. RevenueCat's own policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Nothing else leaves the device. Learning progress, bananas, items bought for Munki, day streaks and minutes played stay on the phone and are never sent anywhere. Nothing is sold, shared for advertising, or used for profiling.
Notifications
If a parent turns them on, the app schedules one reminder a day at five in the afternoon. The reminder is created by the device itself. No push server is involved and no device token is sent anywhere. It can be switched off in the app or in the system settings at any time.
Purchases
A subscription unlocks the paid rooms. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — Munki never sees or stores card details, billing addresses or Apple ID information. Purchases and restoring purchases are placed behind a parental gate.
Children's privacy
Munki is made for children and follows Apple's Kids Category rules. No personal information about a child is collected, so there is nothing about a child that could be disclosed to anyone. The one external service, RevenueCat, is used only to run subscriptions and never receives anything identifying a child or what they played. The app contains no behavioural advertising, no third-party analytics, and no external links reachable by a child.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address and the date at the top will be updated.
