Caffeine & Sleep for iPhone

The number on the main screen looks wrong
Cira shows the caffeine still active in you, not the amount you drank.
A 95 mg coffee peaks at about 87 mg after forty-five minutes and falls from there,
so the two numbers are almost never the same. The "Today" tile shows the total you
drank; the ring shows what is left.
How does Cira know my metabolism?
It starts from the published median — a half-life of about 5.7 hours — and
applies the factors you set in your profile: smoking makes it roughly twice as
fast, contraceptives and pregnancy slow it down, age slows it after 65. If you
know your own half-life, you can set it by hand. Your profile shows the resulting
number at the top, so every switch has a visible consequence.
Why is my last safe cup so early?
The cutoff is the last moment a normal 95 mg cup still leaves your sleep window
clear. It moves with everything you have already had today and with your bedtime.
A cup earlier in the day pushes it earlier.
I logged the wrong drink
Press and hold the entry on the main screen or in History and delete it. To
clear the whole day, open your profile and use "Reset today's caffeine" — earlier
days stay untouched.
The cutoff reminder never arrives
It needs three things: an active Premium or trial, notification permission for
Cira in iOS Settings, and at least one drink logged today. It arrives once a day
and never after your cutoff has already passed.
Restoring a purchase
Open the plans screen and tap "Restore". Purchases are tied to the Apple
Account that bought them, so use the same one. If nothing is found, check which
Apple Account is signed in under iOS Settings.
Managing or cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us: iOS Settings → your name →
Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops the renewal; access stays until the paid
period ends.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Everything you log stays on your iPhone. The details are in the
privacy policy.
A note on what Cira is not
It is an estimate built on a standard pharmacokinetic model, not a measurement
of your blood, and not medical advice. If you have a sleep disorder, see a doctor.
