Terms of Use

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Cira is licensed, not sold, under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. That agreement governs your use of the app. The notes below explain the parts people actually ask about.

Subscriptions

Cira Premium is offered as a weekly or a monthly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in your local currency on the plans screen before you buy.

Auto-renewing subscriptions renew at the end of each period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.

Free trial

The weekly plan may include a three-day free trial. If you subscribe during a trial, the trial ends and the paid period begins. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.

Managing and cancelling

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions to change the plan or turn off renewal. Cancelling stops future charges; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf.

Lifetime

Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It does not renew and cannot be cancelled, because there is nothing to cancel. It stays with the Apple Account that bought it and can be restored on any device signed in to that account.

Refunds

All payments are handled by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple too: reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue or decline a refund.

What Cira is free to do

Logging drinks, the active caffeine figure, tonight's verdict, your last safe cup, today's curve, and metabolism speed with your sleep times are free and stay free. Premium adds the before-you-drink check, the fine physiology model, the focus window, history beyond a week, your own drinks, the cutoff reminder and the full statistics.

What Cira is not

Cira is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It estimates caffeine levels using a standard one-compartment pharmacokinetic model with first-order absorption. That is a good approximation of a typical body, but it is not a measurement of yours, and individual variation is large. Do not use Cira to make medical decisions. If you have a sleep disorder, a heart condition, are pregnant, or take medication that interacts with caffeine, talk to a doctor.

Availability

The app is provided as is. We may change or discontinue features in future versions.
