PackZen

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

The short version

PackZen has no accounts and no advertising, and it does not track you. Your trips and packing lists stay on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage. We cannot see them. The only information that reaches a service of ours is your purchase status, described below.

What the app stores, and where

Trips, destinations, dates, packing lists, your stay details and your optional profile name and emoji are stored on your device. If iCloud is enabled for PackZen, the same data syncs through your private iCloud database so it appears on your other devices. That database belongs to your Apple Account; we have no access to it.

You can export your trips to a file or delete them at any time in the app. Deleting the app removes its data from the device; iCloud data can be removed in Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage.

What is sent to Apple on your behalf

Weather. To show a forecast, the app sends the coordinates of your trip's destination city — not your own location — to Apple Weather (WeatherKit).

City search. The text you type when searching for a destination is sent to Apple Maps to find matching places. PackZen never asks for your location.

Purchases. Payments are handled entirely by the App Store; we never see your payment details. To know whether PackZen Pro is active and to understand how subscriptions perform, the app uses RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives your purchase history for PackZen (product, dates, price, country of the storefront) together with a random identifier created for this app. That identifier is not linked to your name, email or Apple Account, and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites. RevenueCat keeps this record for as long as PackZen is offered; to have it deleted, write to the support address below and we will remove it within 30 days.

On-device suggestions. On devices with Apple Intelligence, optional item suggestions are generated on the device itself. Your text is not sent to us or to any third party.

Apple's handling of this information is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Notifications

Checkout reminders are scheduled locally on your device. They are not sent from a server and do not require sharing anything with us.

Measuring our own advertising

We advertise PackZen on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok. From version 1.1 the app includes the Meta SDK and the TikTok Business SDK so that those networks can tell whether an ad led to an install and whether the app was worth it. Each SDK receives an anonymous identifier it generates for this app on your device, your IP address, general device information such as the model and iOS version, app launches, a few milestones (a trip was created, a list was completed, the upgrade screen was shown) and purchases made through the App Store. No trip details, dates or items are sent. Install attribution itself goes through Apple's SKAdNetwork, which passes the network a single number without identifying you or your device. We never ask for permission to track you, and the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not collected. How the networks handle this data is described in the Meta Privacy Policy and the TikTok Privacy Policy. For Apple Search Ads, Apple gives the app an attribution token that our subscription provider, RevenueCat, uses to match a purchase to a campaign; it contains no personal data.

Usage statistics and crash reports

From version 1.1 the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. Analytics receives which screens were opened and a few milestones (a trip was created, a list was completed, the upgrade screen was shown, a purchase was made) together with the identifier Apple assigns to this app on your device and general device information such as the iOS version. No trip details, dates or items are sent, and the variant of the library we use cannot collect the advertising identifier. Crashlytics receives a report when the app crashes or runs into an error, so that we can fix it. None of this is linked to your name or Apple Account, and it is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

What we do not do

The app shows no ads, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell or share personal data. Apart from the purchase, measurement, usage and crash information described above, it collects nothing.

Children

PackZen is a general-audience travel tool and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
